There are some very rude people in cody Wy.

There are some very rude people in cody Wy. They do not like tourists. They will cuss at you on the road , they will ride your bumper, yell obscenities to you. It's sad , with out tourists, cody wouldn't be what it is today. I used to love cody , until the residents started being more than rude to people from other states. If we stopped coming to cody, wondering how much of a ghost town would cody turn into.

I am from Wyo. and am in Cody frequently, so I can't really comment on length stayed. We are usually in Cody for things that "normal" travelers are not. We are here for sports, to see friends, and other such things.

I loved the location, the motel itself and the rooms were great. Couldn't ask for anything better and the value for the cost was fantastic. I had mixed reactions for the staff. The gentleman who checked us in for the evening was great. Seemed to go out of his way explaining things and getting us into the room we booked online. However, the lady working the desk in the morning double charged my credit card by mistake (according to her) but didn't attempt to fix the charge even though she knew she had made the mistake. The manager had to be called to make adjustments and I'm still waiting for the adjustment to be cleared after 4 days.

We were there toward the end of the season.

We were there toward the end of the season. Our purpose was to go to the Whitney Western Art Museum in the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. It actually had 5 museums and we went to four of them. My husband loved the Buffalo Bill museum. I did love the Whitney, but also the Natural History Museum. In addition, Cody is only 58 miles from the East entrance to Yellowstone, and the drive there is spectacular. We had not planned on going, but we did end up spending a full day there. Cody is definitely worth a stop.

    Prices very high.

Prices very high. Got the impression people there liked you only for what you would spend. Very crowded. No place to eat because of the glut of people there. The Buffalo Bill Museum of the West was good. Enjoyable time spent there. The Chief Joseph Highway was awesome. Otherwise, the rest of this highly priced resort town is not for me. I will not return.

Excellent gateway location for the East Entrance Road in Yellowstone National Park. Also, a good starting point for Chief Joseph Scenic By-way and Beartooth Scenic Highway. There are so many things to see and do around Cody that one trip is certainly not enough!

The 2-queen room we got was much bigger than anticipated, with comfy beds and historic-looking furnishings. And the shower was awesome! The staff was great—we got complimentary champagne for Valentine’s Day weekend, and the gentleman delivering it (I believe the mgr) was very kind. We didn’t eat at the restaurant, but we stopped into the saloon, and there was live music & good service. The Irma Hotel is a must-stay for a western getaway!

Not bad. We spent only one night, didn't have enough time to enjoy our staying. We chose this hotel because of the great and convenient location. Complimentary breakfast and parking. Beds were comfortable, and nobody was complaining about it. Once you get into the lobby, you will notice a safari area. My family wasn't excited about all those animals around during breakfast time...

Nice and new hotel. The staff was very friendly. The hotel is nicely located. It is easy to reach the highway to Yellowstone, the Rodeo and downtown with the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. A supermarket and a gas station are near by. The room is very spacious and the pool area is very nice.

We had to do an unexpected stop in Cody for a few days. Previously I have stayed in Best Westerns, so we did a late booking fro this hotel. When we arrived the staff was very prompt and curtious and got us to our room very fast. They were helpful when we asked about the local things to do.

Very nice hotel, a great location, and the breakfast on-site was the best for the entire trip across WY. Loved having a balcony to view the mountains. Cody was a favorite stop! Enjoyed the rodeo, white water rafting on the Shoshone and the Buffalo Bill Museum. We will be back!

We liked the location, about 20 miles outside of Cody. It was perfect for our needs and quiet. I liked that the laundry facilities were open 24 hours a day. I also liked that the Inn is pet friendly and we were able to take our dog.

It wasn’t a five star resort. But a clean place to sleep and shower. There weren’t a lot of really upscale hotels in Cody. Once we got inside it was a clean comfortable room and nice service.
